Pastor Lynne Herron was born in Port Lavaca, Texas, to Patricia and Michael Bell. She became united with New Testament Baptist Church in 1980, where Dr. C.M. Cummings was the Senior Pastor upon her family's arrival to Sacramento.
In November 2001 she became Licensed Minister and later ordained by Pastor Rosalie Charley at Faith Fellowship Community Church. She served in many capacities.
In 2010 Pastor Lynne re-established The House of Refuge Ministries where she was voted in and confirmed as the Senior Pastor. In 2015 she Co-Pastored alongside her Husband Pastor Jeffrey Herron. In 2016 she became one of founders of New Creation Church and Co-Senior Pastor along-side her Co-Senior Pastor Chris Lovelace, where she now resides as the Senior Pastor.
Pastor Lynne is the Founder and President of Broken Chains Ministries, Founder and CEO of D.O.V.E.S. Ministries. She served as the primary Teacher for the Thursday Night Women’s Devotional Bible Study and the primary Bible Study for the Christian Women’s Job Corps. Pastor Lynne attended Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College where she earned her AA Degree in Theology, her BA Degree in Biblical Studies. She attended Christian Faith World Ministries Theological University where she pursued her MA Degree in Christian Counseling, served as the Professor of Christian Ethics, and Leadership Development as well as Dean of University Studies, she is currently with Fuller Ogilvie Theological Seminary Micah Group Co-Facilitator.
Pastor Lynne has been afforded wonderful opportunities to travel abroad with her ministry (Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Detroit, Atlanta, Northern and Southern California, and as far as Kenya (Nairobi and Eldoret) teaching God’s people to love God and live in relationship, love and unity with one another.
Out of all her accomplishments, she treasures most the precious gift from God being the proud wife of Pastor Jeffrey Herron and the proud mother of Iyeisha Clements-Miller, Eric Clements II, LaTosha Jones and Jordon Jones. She is the proud Grandmother of Kai Miller, Lisa Clements, Gabriel Clements, and Rosalee Walker, and the proud godmother of 31 godchildren.
Her philosophy is “Building a Community by Changing and Building up one man or woman at a time”.
